Glenfaba is sheading located on the west coast of the Isle of Man.

Etymology

Glenfaba name is old and found the form of Terra Glenfaba in a bubble of Pope Gregory IX in 1231. If the word glen (valley) is not a problem and is found in many place names of the island (Glen Mooar, Glen Helen ,...), form faba is more debatable. It could be a form genitive name feb, which would have given yn Eb, the first form of the name designating the River Neb and flows precisely in the sheading of Glenfaba. Glenfaba will probably say "Valley Neb Parishes

Sheading Glenfaba of the three administrative parishes:

  • the city of Peel , the oldest historic capital of the island, established in the former parish insular German ;
  • Parish Administrative German which includes the rest of the former parish insular German.
  • Parish Administrative and insular Patrick , south of the town of Peel.
