Jonathan Bellis (born 16 August 1988 on the Isle of Man ) is a cyclist Manx , a member of Team Saxo Bank since 2009. First track specialist, he continued his career on the road, but suffered a serious accident in September 2009.
Summary |
Deriving from Program "Olympic Academy British , Jonathan Bellis gets its main results in the youth track. In 2006 he was European champion in team pursuit and won the junior world championship class silver medal in the points race and bronze in the team pursuit. Spent in class hopes in 2007, he was European champion in team pursuit and scratch. In September, he became the first British medal in world championship road hopes by finishing third in the Sprint. In 2008, he devoted himself more to road racing, winning several seats of honor in hopes of events. It is one of four riders up the British team at the Sprint Olympics in Beijing. Team CSC, who has already invited to a training camp in January , and takes the 12th place. He began his professional career in 2009 with this team, which is named Team Saxo Bank.
In May 2009, he finished 8th in the Tour de Rijke. In September 2009 , he suffered an accident scooter to Quarrata in Italy , near the training base of the British federation. Plunged into a coma , he underwent surgery to remove a blood clot to the brain. He is gradually emerging from coma in October .
He returned to competition in June 2010 during the championship on the Isle of Man route , then dispute the championship of Great Britain, the Grand Prix Plouay and the Tour of Great Britain .
