The Klingon is a fictional language of the fictional universe of Star Trek. It is the language of race alien Klingon in this universe.

It was created by Marc Okrand in the studio producing the series Star Trek. Its syntax is equated to that of Native American languages. It is the subject of education in the United States and an institute devoted to it, the Klingon Language Institute. The latter was particularly reflected in Klingon, and published the epic of Gilgamesh and Hamlet .

In September 2010, the theater Zeebelt to The Hague was the site of the first performance of an original opera ALL OF Klingon language, entitled 'u' .
