In articulatory phonetics , a consonant side, or for brevity is a lateral consonant , which requires for its realization the flow of air through a side channel (sometimes bilateral) formed by collapsing of the front of the tongue and contact with the back of his palace. Most side are spirants , but others are also fricatives.
