London Tests Of Franais
The London Tests of international exams Franais are validating a certain level of proficiency in English.
They were designed by Pearson Language Tests a new industry group Pearson devoted to the evaluation of language. The objective is to reward success in learning English and guarantee the acquisition of four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. There are six levels that are aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
They focus on communication, using authentic and realistic scenarios. The tests evaluate the ability of candidates to use what they know about language, rather than their acquired grammatical rules.
Their management is done in association with Edexcel, one of the most important committee in charge of national examinations in Great Britain

This framework has been established by the Council of Europe to enable language learners, teachers, teachers, universities and potential employers look at every level, their skills in different languages

The London Tests of Franais were created by the Commission to school examinations of the University of London in 1982. They are now developed by Edexcel, the largest official body in charge of national examinations in the UK. Edexcel is now part of Pearson Group
Scenarios
The London Tests of Franais are estimates based on scenarios. They are designed to allow candidates to freely express themselves and show how they understand and communicate in English.
The emphasis is on real situations and everyday is the reason why the exams are built around scenarios rather than grammatical exercises.

Four Skills
The examinations assess the understanding and written and oral expression. The communicative character of the examinations that the tests are shorter than the other exams without compromising the quality of the result. The London Tests of Franais are accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in the United Kingdom. The examinations are prepared and marked by teams of professionals and successful candidates receive a certificate of Edexcel International
Technology
Pearson has developed a system of correction (e-Pen) and a service system to examination centers on the web (Edexcel Online). It may therefore provide an online detailed analysis of each candidate.
International recognition
Levels 4 and 5 of the London Tests Franais allow entry into UK universities and are recognized by many international companies.
