Low Franconian dialects today.

The lower Franconian is a set of languages or dialects Low German , spoken in the Netherlands , in Belgium and Germany ( North Rhine-Westphalia ). It includes the dialects Flemish , Dutch , Brabant and Limburg and the Bergisch and lower Rhine in Germany. The Netherlands is from this group of dialects (dialect Holland and Brabant , mainly). Dutch comes from the Afrikaans spoken in South Africa and Namibia.

Early Franks before Charlemagne spoke languages of this group. But Charlemagne was a mother tongue group said today means Frankish.
