Middle German
The average German (or is a group of dialects Germanic which are mainly spoken in central Germany and Luxembourg.
They define a transition zone within the language continuum of the German group between dialects Upper German and Low German.
With the dialects of Upper German , he formed the languages of High German. In this category, they differ from German dialects by a higher second sound shift incomplete.
Note: Low means "north" (bas-Rhin, or close to the sea), and high means "south" (high-Rhine, geographically or higher), so plea relates to the intermediate zone geographically.
