Parishes Of The Isle Of Man

Map of the 17 parishes and towns and traditional villages or districts of the Isle of Man.

The 24 parishes of the administrative Isle of Man are territorial subdivisions of the second order of the Isle of Man.

The traditional 17 parishes (known as "island" to distinguish them from parish administration) no longer correspond to current administrative parishes, even if they kept their grouping into six sheadings traditional.

The parishes are themselves subdivided into localities (that is, either one of four cities or urban parishes or villages, which in both cases can include one or more rural towns that are administratively attached ) or districts (comprising several villages and rural towns). Following the redistricting, two parishes have become traditional districts, and 15 other parishes together the current administrative villages in rural areas not organized into towns, villages or districts.
