Depends on the dog. What they mean is that they will love you and will sometimes want to be with you but not to a clingy point where they need to be with you often. They are nice dogs, they were used as guard dogs a long time ago, they shrunk but they still think they are vicious big dogs. So cute no? Make sure you brush the coat often and if you weant brush it from the opposite direction of the way the fur goes if if you want it fluffy and poofy! My grandparents breed Pomeranians. They are cute little independent dogs :)

No, they love you, they just won't be up your butt 24/7. They're yappy things, though, and most of those I've met have a tendency to be kind of snippy.
