Solomon (Governor)

Solomon is a governor Byzantine of the first half of the sixth century.

In 534 , he was appointed by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian as governor of Africa , just conquered by General Belisarius at the Vandals of Gelimer. He was replaced two years later ( 536 ), before returning to his post in 539. He conquered the Aures and Zab. He was defeated by them in a battle near the city of Theveste (current Tebessa ) in 544 , and lost his life.
