Syncline

In geology , called Syncline (opposite: anticline ) a fold whose center is occupied by the layers geological younger. As the term anticline, syncline the word includes a stratigraphic concept and refers to a specific episode of folding.

In simple cases, a syncline is a synform at whose heart are the most recent layers, but if the letter is released, these layers may appear at the heart of an antiform.
