Being in honors is not going to help you but hurt you since you have received such poor grades. You would have been better suited taking regular classes and excelling. However, high school grades do not truly effect college admissions depending on the school you choose. If it is a very reputable school, hard to get into, the grades do matter. You do have very good SAT scores though which will aid you greatly when finding a school.

I bet you are smart but don't apply yourself. With a 1950 on you're SAT, you should have a large amount of very respectable schools on you're list, but you're GPA will weigh you down. It doesn't match up with you're SAT.
